School 504 or IEP Disability Services

Our advocacy services support children and their families in navigating the process of obtaining and implementing a 504 Plan—a legal accommodation designed to ensure students with disabilities receive equal access to education. We help parents understand their child’s rights, communicate effectively with schools, and ensure appropriate accommodations are put in place.

Advocates work closely with families and educational teams to identify the child’s unique needs, support the development of individualized plans, and monitor the effectiveness of accommodations. Our goal is to empower families to advocate confidently for their child’s success and well-being in the school environment.

This is "boots-on-the-ground" support where you act as a bridge between your client and the systems they navigate.

  1. Educational Support: Attending IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to ensure a child's mental health needs are met in the classroom.
  2. Medical Coordination: Communicating with primary care doctors or psychiatrists to ensure holistic treatment.
  3. Letter Writing: Providing documentation for gender-affirming care, emotional support animals, or housing accommodations (reasonable accommodations under the ADA).
  4. System Navigation: Helping clients navigate the "red tape" of social services, foster care, or the legal system.
