Frequently Asked Questions

I’m not sure if counseling is right for me, how can I find out more information?

I would be happy to schedule an initial phone consultation with you to see if counseling would be helpful for your situation. You can call or text me at (845)407-0284.

I’d like to set-up relationship counseling, but I’m not sure that I can convince them to participate. Do you have any advice?

Reaching out for help is the hardest step of the process! I’d be happy to discuss with you what a couples session would look like. From there, we can determine if your partner would feel comfortable participating or if it would make sense to start with individual counseling and go from there.

How long is a session?

Session lengths vary by time depending on the patient needs. Standard sessions are 45 minutes. Longer sessions are available and would be based on what would be best for you, your lifestyle, and your current/ongoing needs.

How often should I see you?

Frequency of sessions varies by individual patient and is something we can discuss in our initial phone consultation. Therapy is very unique and there is no “one size fits all” model.
